Definition of Multiple Support Agreement:

If a group of people (2 or more) are all supporting a dependent who is not a child, and together they cover 50% of the total cost but none of them provides 50% by themselves, any one of the supporters who gives at least 10% can claim the entire deduction themselves if the other supporters agree to sign a document that says they will not also claim the deduction that year.
