Ohio Individual Income Tax Return (Long)
Form IT 1040 is the longer version of Form IT 1040EZ. Either Form IT 1040EZ or IT 1040 must be in all Ohio returns. Unlike Form IT 1040EZ, Form IT 1040 has no requirements that taxpayers must meet in order to use it to file their Ohio tax returns. To see if you meet the requirements to file with IT 1040 look in the IT 1040EZ Instructions. Taxpayers who do not meet the requirements to file with Form IT 1040EZ will need to use IT 1040 to complete their Ohio returns.
Please note that only full year residents of Ohio may file their returns with Form IT 1040EZ, pending they fulfill all other requirements. Thus if you were not a full year Ohio resident you will, by default, need to file your Ohio return with Form IT 1040.
