Form 2106
Employee Business Expenses
Form 2106 is used to report ordinary (defined as a common and accepted) and necessary (defined as a helpful and appropriate, not required) expenses occupational expenses. These expenses are tax deductible. To find out if you need to file Form 2106 see page 1 of the 2106 Instructions. There is also a shorter version of Form 2106, Form 2106-EZ, that has additional requirements. If you meet these requirements you may want to file this form instead.
